Session 1 :  Child Care and Well-being

Child Care supports the supervision of a child which facilitated by similar-aged children covers a variety of developmental behavioral and psychological effects in both caregivers and charge. Early childhood care plays an important role in children physical, mental developments and provides a valuable support to families with young children. Well-being is the condition of an individual that involves positive emotions and moods which integrates mental health and physical health resulting in more holistic approaches to disease prevention and health promotion.

Session 2: Child Psychology and Child Psychiatry

Child psychology is a key part of developmental psychology and focuses on the psychological processes of children from prenatal development to adolescence. The scope of the study includes motor skills, cognitive development, mental health, language skills, social change and emotional development and some of the common mental disorders like Learning Disorder, Motor skill Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Attention Deficit Developmental Disorder and Disruptive Behavior Disorder.

Child psychiatry is primarily concerned with the study and treatment of behavioral disorders and emotional problems that affect children and they may include autism spectrum disorders, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, mental disorders, mental retardation, Feeding and Eating Disorder, Mood Disorder, bipolar disorder etc.

Session 3 : Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Child Mental health focuses on the identification, classification of disorders, treatment and maintains optimum psychological functioning, well-being and ideal mental working and prosperity. It is specifically identified with the level of competency accomplished in mental and social working. Adolescent Mental Health assume a vital part in psychological wellness propensities including adapting, strength, and decision making ability help children to accomplish general prosperity and set the phase for positive emotional wellness in adulthood and people having a serious mental health disorder, such as Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Emotional Disorders, Mood disorders, Developmental disorders at some point in their life.

Therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners or physicians can help mental illness with treatments.

Psychiatric Nursing focuses on the treatment of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders and the position of a nurse that spends significant time in psychological mental health, and looks after individuals of any age encountering mental illnesses or distress. Session 7Child Abuse, Suicidal Behavior and Prevention

There are four types of child maltreatment: physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional, psychological abuse and neglect.
